Dino Durando

Consultant

I have spent most of my working life in non-profit leadership, following my first career in hospitality management. My passion lies in mentoring, teaching, and coaching leaders.

I was trained by, and previously worked with, Evangelium Consulting Group, where Kyle also began his journey in organizational health. I apply the Lencioni approach to building healthy teams in my current role with the Diocese of Kansas City–St. Joseph in Missouri. I believe in this approach enough to do the hard work it requires within my own team, where effective collaboration is mission-critical. I find it both fun and fulfilling to help other leaders and their teams get healthy and execute their mission fruitfully. Healthy teams multiply talents and skills beyond what’s possible in silos, and these sound business practices are essential not only in non-profits but in any work done for a higher purpose.

My wife and I have 10 children and recently became grandparents. I love the outdoors and enjoy hunting, hiking, and camping with my family. I’m also an avid strategy board game player and a student of game theory.

By sharing vulnerably from the heart about his experience of healing, Dino helped me to recognize my own vulnerabilities and the areas in which I needed healing so that I could be a more effective colleague and leader. The experience has given me the confidence to cultivate working relationships built on openness and trust, and to welcome others with great care. The fruits it has borne for me personally remain a stimulus toward continued growth as a husband, father, and professional.
